Functional Vocational Training and Research:
Under this program Skill training has been provided for the School dropout youth of Amravati and Akola Districts of Maharastra. The dropout youth are getting an opportunity to be self reliant and become economically independent. There are Three batches of three trades going on in the centre at different places with the batch of 20 – 15. The young boys and girls are involved in learning motor winding, dress designing and nursing assistant. They envisage a bright future with self dignity. Special trainings on capacity building, entrepreneurship development are conducted to enhance their skills.
Boarding for young Tribal girls:
Young tribal girls are deprived of the further studies as they do not have facilities in their own villages. In order to help them continue their studies, the boarding is made available to them in Matru Schaya Social Centre. These girls are continuing their 11th std and the dropout girls are learning cutting and tailoring along with the dress designing.
Demonstration units:
Demonstration units have been started in Matru Schaya Social centre of poultry, fishery and vermicompost. These units provide knowledge and confidence to the tribal and non tribal farmers. After visiting these units many farmers have started the same in their target villages and are happy to see the growth and development in their family and village.
Mother Veronica Ashray Kendra - A home for the women in distress.
A special home for the women who are physically assualted and mentally disturbed due to voilence at home will be provided a temperory Shelter and counselling in Mother veronica Ashray Kendra.
The centre will be inaugrated soon on 28th December 2012 in the campus of Matru Schaya Social Welfare Society Bhandaraj.
